Zlens guides: connecting, transferring and remote control

One article per brand on getting the official apps to connect and transfer, plus one on how remote live view over PTP-IP works. It’s all troubleshooting order and practical steps, with no numbers we haven’t measured.

Two things that come up every time

The brands differ, but the sticking points barely do. Two of them are worth saying once, here.

The camera hotspot has no internet

Android notices and quietly moves back to mobile data. The app says it’s connected while every request times out.

Set that network to stay connected without internet, or turn off adaptive network switching, and switch off VPN and Private DNS.

Bluetooth doesn’t move big files

On all four brands, Bluetooth keeps the pairing alive, syncs status and wakes the camera. Live view and transfers always use Wi-Fi. If Bluetooth is connected and nothing moves, you’re still stuck on the first layer.

Where to start

If your camera and phone have never talked, read your brand’s article from the top, because the order matters. If they used to work and stopped, jump to the checklist at the end. After a new phone or a reinstall, the cause is usually a stale pairing, a full slot list or a frozen background service.

If you want the phone as a monitor and a remote rather than just somewhere to receive files, start with the PTP-IP article.

Zlens isn’t out yet. The download link will go on the home page once it’s ready. Menus in the official apps change with firmware and app versions, so go by the menu on your camera.
